About the overseas partner

London Metropolitan University (commonly known as London Met) is a well-known public research university in the United Kingdom. It is the largest university within the London area and the third largest across the UK. More than 34,000 students are studying in the University. The University offers 285 undergraduate courses, 140 Master degree courses, 60 doctorate courses and other professional and short courses. Sixteen courses have received top marks from the UK’s Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) assessment. The School of Human Sciences has the exclusive department of Galenic Pharmacy across the UK. Other facilities include the largest science center in Europe, an architect area of 8,000 square meters, 280 teaching laboratories and multiple large research laboratories.  Along with the setting up of the East Asia office in the center of Beijing in 2001, the University has become one of the earliest qualified overseas universities to conduct joint degrees with Chinese universities.

The objective of the program

This program will equip students with bilingual ability and enable them to be familiar with basic knowledge and skills in pharmacy. After graduation, students can work in the fields of drug production, drug inspection, drug distribution and drug use. Alternatively, they can work in other fields such as drug identification, drug design, drug quality control, drug efficacy evaluation, drug preparation, drug marketing and rational drug use in clinical practice.
