Our responsibilities

The Institute was founded in 2021. Our major responsibilities are as follows:

1.To establish the technical platform for treating emerging infectious diseases by traditional Chinese medicine.

2.To establish the research platform of mechanism for preventing and treating emerging infectious diseases by traditional Chinese medicine.

Our achievements

By the end of 2021, we’ve taken part in drafting 1 national standard and 2 local standards on TCM treating COVID-19. In addition, we’ve published 39 papers. And we have been rewarded 3 scientific and technological achievements as follows: 1) second prize of Science and Technology Award of Chinese Society of Traditional Chinese Medicine 2) first prize of Shanghai Science and Technology Award of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine; 3) third prize of Shanghai Science and Technology of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine

Our ongoing activities

1. Working on collaborations with Institute of Interdisciplinary Integrative Medicine Research and Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica Chinese Academy of Sciences.

2. Conducting research projects on preventing and treating emerging infectious diseases by traditional Chinese medicine.

Our staff

The Institute has 1 director, 1 vice-director and 6 staff members. Regarding educational background, there are 2 doctorate degree of Chinese medicine, 1 doctorate degree of cell biology, 1 doctorate degree of genetics, 1 master degree of Chinese medicine and 1 master degree of clinical medicine. Among them, 3 have senior titles, 1 has vice-senior title and 2 have middle titles.
