International students receive festive gifts from the Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Teachers at the International Education College of the Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine visited the apartments of international students on Oct 1, the day of the Mid-Autumn Festival.
They offered the students mooncakes and pomegranate, which are traditionally eaten during the festival, as gifts from the school.
They also presented the students with specially-designed cards containing poems and explaining customs related to the festival in both Chinese and English.
Teachers asked the students about their holiday plans and reminded them about epidemic control measures. Hand sanitizer was also prepared for every student.
Some of the students said that although they cannot see their families during the holiday, they are thankful to the school for making them feel welcome.
A variety of gifts were offered to international students.
