From September 1 to 3, Shanghai University of TCM and Nakamura Gakuen University co-hosted 2017 Medicinal Diet Expo in Fukuoka, Japan. More than 16000 participants and 70 organizations including corporations, schools, administrative institutes and social entities attended the event.
Led by Vice President Hu Hongyi, the delegation from Shanghai University of TCM participated in a wide range of activities. On September 1, Hu and Chairman of Nakamura Gakuen University Ryoichi Nakamura launched the expo, and the Consul General of the People’s Republic of China in Fukuoka, He Zhenliang was present at the opening ceremony and visited the University’s exhibition booth.
Hu delivered the speech on the development and needs of Chinese medicine in the international arena, introducing that Chinese intelligent diagnostic devices could provide further evidence for daily health care and Chinese medicinal diet. Professor Yang Baican, Professor of School of Pharmacy from the University and Professor Tokui Noritaka from Nakamura Gakuen University delivered the speeches on the topic of Chinese medicinal diet and intestinal environment from Chinese and western medicine perspectives respectively. Professor Wen Xiaoping from School of Basic Medical Sciences demonstrated the techniques to cook Chinese medicinal diet and the principles of compatibility of Chinese medicinal drugs. Dean of School of Public Health Wang Xiulan and Associate Professor Sun Lihong, Professor Wen Xiaoping and Associate Professor Guo Jinglei also made keynote speeches on Chinese medicinal diet.
The University’s exhibits have gained a great popularity among the local public, among which the cloud based TCM intelligent mirror has captured special attention.
