The Center for Medical Quality Monitoring in TCM Hospitals

Entrusted by the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the Center for Medical Quality Monitoring in TCM Hospitals was founded at the SHUTCM Shuguang Hospital in 1996.

Our Mission

The Center seeks to conduct overall, dynamic and scientific monitoring on medical care service in TCM hospitals around China, with the aim of advancing management of TCM hospitals and providing policy-making basis for TCM administrations and institutions.

Our staff

Led by Director Zhou Hua (President of the Shuguang Hospital), the Center has an expert panel in hospital management, health statistics, health economics and information management.

Our responsibilities

The past decade has witnessed that the Center has grown into an institution with capability for multidirectional and multifunctional monitoring and huge data resources. Today, the Center is playing a key role in TCM medical care service evaluation. Our main responsibilities are as follows:

lBuild a monitoring network on medical care service in TCM hospitals around China.

lSelect and build monitoring sites and train personnel.

lConstruct a platform for data acquisition and analysis.

lConduct fast, accurate and dynamic monitoring and thus provide supporting data and decision-making basis for TCM administration.

At present, our Statistical Reporting System of All-China TCM Healthcare Management has been approved by the National Bureau of Statistics of China.
